The day before Oksana and Paolo tied the knot in front of their loved ones in the heart of Tuscany, we found time to explore the historic streets of Florence together.
As golden hour greeted the city, Florence was filled with warm light across the historic buildings, the passing of evening conversations, and the culture of Italy, all in the air. The beautiful couple wandered hand in hand, soaking in the magic, fun, and beauty while showing their deep love for one another — as if they were the only two people in the city.
We paused beside old buildings with warm colours that offered the future bride and groom intimate, reflective moments before the wedding day ahead. They scaled the bridges lining the breathtaking Arno River, and, of course, we couldn’t resist slipping into one of the iconic Fotoautomatica booths tucked among the cobblestone streets. As the couple snuck in kisses behind the red curtain, it all felt perfectly European.
The couple even ran into some of their beloved wedding guests during our exploration, which led to a wonderful, candid moment of happiness.
As a wedding photographer, it was such a special feeling to capture this in-between moment just before they stepped into the next chapter. Wedding days move so quickly, so it felt cinematic to have a moment to exhale with this lovely couple before all of the excitement of what's to come.
