a cinematic moment together
When you think about falling in love, you can't help but hope it's just like the movies. A story that feels larger than life, and filled with details you'd never forget. Even down to what your "meet cute" would look like. For Bailey and Jordan, they decided to bring that vision to life.
On a snowy afternoon in Edmonton, Alberta, we stepped inside the historic Garneau Theatre (now Metro Cinema) to capture their exciting engagement. From the moment I met the couple, I knew their fun, playful energy was contagious. It's the kind of connection that makes you forget the camera is even involved, as the day unfolded with laughter and ease.
What makes the Garneau Theatre so wonderful is the vintage elements that scatter the building, making its character feel intimate and magical. From the rich red carpeting to the warm stage lights beneath the screen, it creates a beautiful backdrop to tell a love story. And, of course, we leaned into the experience. Bailey and Jordan got creative throughout the afternoon, trying on 3D glasses, stretching out across the rows of seats, tossing popcorn at each other, and pausing under the glowing exit signs. We even got to hold a vintage film roll, adding a feeling of nostalgia to the day.
One unforgettable touch, and easily my favourite part, was their names lit up on the theatre marquee, alongside their winter wedding date. It truly showcased a love that feels cinematic, as if it should be announced to the world for everyone to admire.
As you look through the photos, take a moment to notice the little things. The lingering gazes, the laughter, and the in-between moments, because that's what makes a love story feel real. Take in the sense of adventure that Bailey and Jordan have and their delicate moments, too. I already know their wedding day is going to be spectacular, and I can't wait to be a part of it!
