Special Moments, Sugos and Smoky Skies
Would you believe me if I told you this session was almost cancelled?
Selina and Eric were ready to celebrate their love. Before they made their way to the breathtaking Tuscany region, I flew to Ontario to capture their wedding in Toronto — a place they call home. But before the big celebration, I met up with this gorgeous couple for a pre-wedding evening session. Just the two of them, celebrating a quiet moment together in a place they love.
When I arrived in Toronto, I was greeted by heavy, dense smoke. The air quality was poor, and we began to question whether it was even safe to be outside for the session. Would the photos even turn out? But I was determined to capture the moment and memory they had imagined. Together, we decided to embrace the reality and move forward with the session. And I am so glad we did, because I couldn't be more thrilled with how these stunning film photos turned out.
The evening was filled with fun. When I finally met Selina and Eric in person, I understood why these two were a good match. The way they moved with each other felt innate. There was a sparkle in their eyes that could only be described as true love. You could tell how much every moment meant to them, and how much they wanted to keep celebrating their love and shouting it from the rooftops.
Our evening adventure included a stop at Sugo's, a classic Italian restaurant in Toronto. The couple dined on delicious bolognese (that they fed each other, of course!), with plenty of laughs and love shared along the way. Afterwards, we made our way to the iconic Toronto pier, overlooking the haze that filled the sky.
I loved this session with Selina and Eric, and I'm so glad we made the most of the day together. It was an honour to spend the evening with them, and I am absolutely obsessed with these stunning photos. I hope they look back on these moments for years to come.
